Manchetts introduction to speedway at Mildenhall came during the Fen Fours meeting at the beginning of this season where they were the sponsors of the winning quartet, the ‘Mighty Manchetts’. Following further visits to the track discussions ensued between both parties which have resulted in this major sponsorship deal, and supporters will see the first fruits of this partnership on Sunday 17th July when Manchetts have made the new 100 metre air fence available before the official launch on Sunday 7th August when the highflying Kent Kings will be the visitors.

Club promoter Kevin Jolly was excited by the possibilities this new partnership could bring, he said “This is very positive news for Mildenhall speedway as we look to move the club forward and I would like to thank husband and wife team Sean and Mandy Manchett for supporting the club and for being so positive about the club in all our discussions. They have been impressed by the club ethos of looking to produce home grown youngsters through our Fen Tiger Cubs set up and are fully supportive of the clubs three year plan being put into place to reach the top of the National League with a team using local riders.

As a club we are dedicated to bringing not only success to our local area but also raising awareness locally of our product whilst at the same time helping Manchetts promote their growing business through our association. We fully understand the need to support those who support us and are committed to helping Manchetts in any way we can via the various promotional and media outlets available to us. We are always looking to work with and promote local businesses and this is a big step forward for us in those ambitions.

The new air fence is a fantastic piece of sponsorship for the club, and we are very grateful as I am sure all our supporters will be and I am looking forward to its official unveiling on Sunday 7th August although Manchetts have made the new 100 metre air fence available for the next meeting this Sunday 17th July”.

Manchetts Co-Director Sean Manchett was very positive about their partnership with Mildenhall speedway, he said “From the very first I was impressed with their team spirit, the supporters and the passionate and caring club mentality and after having spoken to Kevin Jolly about what sponsorship was needed and their requirements for the team, the 100 metre safety air fence came up as a priority and we are proud to be able to supply such a vital piece of equipment to support such a hard working club that nurture young talent going forward into this sport.

My own experience of the atmosphere at the Mildenhall stadium during the Fen Fours meeting was terrific it was a super family day out with exhilarating racing from talented riders, not to mention the best fish & chips in the area. I look forward to our long-term association and wish Kevin Jolly and all his associates behind the scenes the continued success they deserve”.
