The Mildenhall ‘KJM/Manchetts’ are hosting a Saturday night summer special in August as the Stoke ‘A.R.Richards’ Potters visit for an important National League fixture on Saturday 13th August.

It will be a 7:00pm start time and as well as the main event the club are hopeful of holding an MDL fixture and then after the racing there will be a disco in the Fenman Bar, courtesy of Party Time Roadshow, to finish off what promises to be an excellent evening’s entertainment.

With ex-Fen Tiger Ben Hopwood plus Ben Wilson, Tony Atkin and Danny Phillips in their line-up Stoke are sure to provide stern opposition under the management of Malcolm Vasey, a very popular figure amongst Mildenhall supporters following his time with the club in the late 1990’s.

Club Chairman Kevin Jolly hoped supporters would come out in force for a full on Saturday evening of speedway entertainment, he said “When I spoke to Malcolm (Vasey) on Sunday about the possibility of Stoke coming on the 13th August he was pleased to accept the invitation. Both of us were well aware that the original date, the 25th September, was the same day as the league fixtures cut-off and neither of us wanted to risk the potential of bad weather causing us to try to run in unsuitable conditions or have to call off the meeting!

Phil (Kirk) is working at the moment to arrange an MDL fixture for this evening as well and I must thank Paul Jenkins for his kind offer to bring his Party Time Roadshow disco to the Fenman Bar to entertain those supporters who wish to stay on and enjoy the later part of their Saturday evening.

Hopefully we can attract a big crowd for what will be a great evening at Mildenhall speedway so please tell your friends!”
