The Mildenhall ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers head north this Sunday (24th July) to face the current bottom side in the National League, the Buxton Hitmen.

After some near misses at Kent and the Isle Wight recently, the Fen Tigers will travel in confident mood especially following last weekend’s comprehensive beating of the Isle of Wight at Mildenhall Stadium! Their opponents have lost two heat leaders recently in Jade Mudgway and Oliver Greenwood and whilst the signing of Lee Dicken has helped alleviate their top end predicament they are seeking a replacement for Greenwood and will run Rider Replacement this weekend.

The ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers will be at full strength and will be looking to repeat their fine victory in 2014 at Hi-Edge Raceway with ex Hitman Jon Armstrong leading their charge! Armstrong rode for the Hitmen twenty years ago back in 1996, and became Amateur League Riders Champion in 1997 whilst with Buxton.

Club Chairman Kevin Jolly knows his team must start picking up points on the road, he said “This is simply a must win meeting for us, and if the lads ride with the same application, concentration and skill as they did on Sunday we must surely break our run of meetings without an away win. We will not take Buxton lightly and give them the upmost respect but I feel we cannot afford to miss out again this weekend. Our top four have all scored good points there in recent times and if they all fire and receive decent backup I am confident we can gain victory”.
