The ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers  unbeaten home record will be given it’s sternest test to date this Sunday (2nd July at 3pm) when they face the only unbeaten team in the National League, the Eastbourne ‘Eagles’.

The ‘Eagles’ will be looking for revenge after  the ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers beat them 61-29 in a National Trophy fixture at West Row back in early May and with a changed side will be hopeful against a weakened home seven. The Fen Tigers will be without Number One Connor Mountain who is on Championship duty with Ipswich at Peterborough and their strong reserve pairing of Luke Ruddick and Sam Woods who remain on the injury list!

Ex Fen Tiger Connor Coles is drafted in to cover Mountain’s absence whilst Lewis Whitmore continues in one of the reserve berths and William O’Keefe comes in. Kevin Jolly felt this would be his team’s biggest test so far, he said “Eastbourne look strong in all departments and we would of wanted to face them with our full team, but it is what it is and the lads will need to be at the top of their game on Sunday. In Connors place we have bought in his old team mate Connor Coles, who will hopefully have something to prove to his previous employers! At reserve our options are severely limited but both Lewis Whitmore and William O’Keefe have a chance to impress today and hopefully they will grab the opportunity with both hands, every point will be vital and they have an important part to play.

We have the best it was possible to get and I truly believe that we can extend that unbeaten home record for another week! ”
