The ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers head into a period of three meetings in four days with the positive news that both Luke Ruddick and Sam Woods are highly likely to return to the team following a spell on the sidelines through injury.

The action starts on Saturday evening (7.30pm) when Poultec bring a select side to face the Fen Tigers in a challenge meeting. With the likes of James Shanes and ex-Fen Tiger Alfie Bowtell in their ranks this will be a stern test for the Fen Tigers ahead of their KO Cup replay with Stoke. Mildenhall speedway are pleased to have this tie up with Poultec and their excellent speedway training programme, where riders now have the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification ‘’Level 2 Diploma - Speedway & Business”.

Sunday evening (6:00pm) sees the 1st leg of the KO Cup Quarter Final replay between Mildenhall and Stoke at Loomer Road. The ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers will be without No 1 Connor Mountain and bring in Lakeside's Ben Morley as a replacement, whilst Stoke are also missing their No 1 Mitchell Davey, with Danny Ayres stepping into the breach. The first attempt to complete this tie ended in the not to be forgotten ‘comeback of the season’ from the Fen Tigers as they piled in three successive 5-1’s in the final three races of the 2nd leg to save the tie.

The second leg with be at Mildenhall on Tuesday 1st August (7.30pm start), when the Fen Tigers will welcome Connor Mountain back to their line-up. Kevin Jolly is looking forward to a busy weekend, he said “Having Luke and Sam back will be a tremendous boost for everyone at the club, Luke will make his comeback appearance in a challenge match for Edinburgh on Friday evening before heading south whilst Sam will have a fitness test ahead of Saturday evenings meeting. I am sure both will return and with our full seven I would back us against anyone.

We see the Poultec meeting as a very entertaining meeting and a chance to show the high regard which we hold Poultec in. The training and development system they have put in place is exactly what speedway needs. The Cup replay with Stoke will not be easy for sure, but the lads want to get their hands on some silverware this year and we have a good record in the cup that we are to retain. It is important we put in a good shift on Sunday evening to set us up to finish the job on Tuesday”
