With the current weather problems countrywide and a poor forecast for coming week the ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers management team have made an early decision to cancel Press and Practise, Meet the Riders and the Training Days for next weekend (9th – 11th March).

Co-promoter James Easter explained the clubs decision, he said “The weather this week has been simply terrible and the stadium has already called off the Stock Car meeting for this weekend. The forecast ahead once this cold blast abates is not promising with rain forecast from Thursday through to Sunday next week, and with the temperatures due to go up a little once this snow melts, along with the rain forecast the track will be unusable. Rather than cause any issues with the track by trying to run we have decided the sensible move is to call off now and rearrange for later in the month. We would like to apologise to supporters for any inconvenience but I am sure everyone will understand our position”

Fortunately the club had a second weekend reserved in case of any weather issues and can confirm that the new date for Press and Practise is 10am on Friday 23rd March. There will be two hours of press time with riders due on track around midday. There will be a break in proceedings around 1.30pm for thirty minutes to allow supporters to enter the pit area to take photographs after which practise will recommence at 2pm.   The Meet the Riders evening will now be a free event on Saturday 24th March at the Stadium starting at 7pm and the Fish and Chips shop will be open. Track Staff will be able to sign on from 4.30pm that afternoon.

The club will be now running a training day on Saturday 24th March between 10am and 4pm, the cost being £40.00 including insurance. There will be an organised structure to the day with riders being grouped together based on ability and to allow maximum benefit for those taking part. Supporters will be able to watch if they wish and like Press and Practise supporter access to the stadium is only via the main entrance gates in the front car park.
