Current National League leaders the ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers face a busy weekend as they look to strengthen their position at the top of the National League table. First up the Belle Vue ‘Colts’ visit Mildenhall on Saturday evening (7.30pm) for the return fixture following the Fen Tigers 47-43 victory on Wednesday at the National Stadium, whilst on Sunday they travel to Buxton (3:00pm).

The Fen Tigers are buoyant following Wednesday evening’s victory in Manchester and will be all out for the seven points on the table. With Jordan Jenkins making a successful comeback they are back to their original starting seven and ready for the big push for the play-offs. Belle Vue will provide stiff opposition on Saturday evening and welcome back at number one Jack Smith who was unavailable on Wednesday. He will form a formidable heat leader trio with Tom Perry and Kyle Bickley. On Sunday ex-Fen Tiger Connor Coles will feature in the Buxton line-up after recovering from injury recently.

Kevin Jolly was looking for nothing less than two wins this weekend, he said “The lads have proved in the last two away meetings they have guts and determination to compliment their undoubted talent and I fully expect us to pick up another couple of wins this weekend. This is not to say we will treat either meeting lightly or under estimate the opposition, it is just the great desire we have shown and our excellent team spirit lead me to believe we can get ourselves out of any potential difficulties we may face.

It has been good to see our crowds improving as the season progresses and I think the word is out now that Mildenhall is the place to see East Anglia’s best speedway from an exciting bunch of locally based youngsters who have great futures in the sport. This Saturday will be no exception I’m sure and when you add youngsters of the ability of Jack Smith and Kyle Bickley into the mix I am sure no one will want to miss Saturday evening’s meeting”
